Even more important (some would say) than legal advice, is sound financial advice.

Moneymadeclear from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) have created a website packed with information. When it comes to money, their impartial information and tools can help you work out what’s right for you at http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/

For help with debt, I met a very helpful man on Twitter (who you can follow too if you like: @talkaboutdebt ).  He has written a very useful article on his excellent website called 10 Debt Myths Busted.

The Talk About Debt website provides links to excellent free resources and information.

Free advice as to what is an IVA and whether it may get debtors off your back can be found at IVA.net:

The IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement) is a government debt solution which offers a way out for people struggling with debts. An IVA can be used to write off debts (up to 75%) and if you are a homeowner, your home could still be protected. The IVA application process is anonymous and no credit checks are carried out.  Click here for more information......
